MARK "HILLBILLY CAT" PRINGLE
|
Mark Lee Pringle as the "HillBilly Cat", a Tribute to "early" Elvis 1954-1958.
Mark has been an Elvis fan for as long as he can remember, but his favorite era
is the "Fifties"! Mark has borrowed Mr. Presley's voice before with numerous
Country bands in the seventies and eighties, but has just recently decided to
enter the world of ETA's (Elvis Tribute Artist). Mark now performs in full
make-up and fifties style wig and out-fits that are exact copies of the ones
worn by Elvis from 1954-1958. Mark uses exact copies of Elvis' guitars and
old-style microphones from that era.
Mark also plays piano on a song or
two during select concerts, as well as being the ONLY Elvis tribute artist, (so
far) to use a full size replica of the RCA "Nipper"-Dog on stage, just like
Elvis did during his 1950's concerts.
Elvis was billed as the
"HillBillyCat" and the "Memphis Flash" when he first started to play such venues
as the "Louisiana Hayride" and the Texarkana tour circuit. Likewise, Mark's show
represents what an actual concert would have been like from that time period.
Mark's voice and on-stage appearance will take you back to the "hip-shaking" raw
energy that Elvis portrayed on such T.V. shows as Milton Berle and Ed Sullivan.
Singing Elvis' biggest hits from RCA and SUN records, Mark states that
"It is an honor to be able to pay tribute to one of the world's largest musical
influences of all time! So, Guy's grease back your hair, and Gals put on your
saddle shoes and poodle skirts and prepare to be Rock-N-Rolled back in time.
